Apex police searching for suspects in Verizon armed robbery

Apex police are searching for suspects in a Verizon armed robbery Thursday night.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a Verizon Wireless store on the block of 720 W. Williams Street around 8: 40 p.m.

The two suspects were described as black males, one wearing a green hoodie sweatshirt and the other wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt. Both suspects were armed with handguns.

No one was injured during the robbery. The suspects fled the area immediately following the incident.
