Nothing found after evacuation, search of Carthage courthouse

Law enforcement issued the all clear for the Carthage courthouse just before noon Wednesday, about two hours after a phoned-in bomb threat prompted the evacuation of the building.

Law enforcement issued the all clear for the Carthage courthouse just before noon Wednesday, about two hours after a phoned-in bomb threat prompted the evacuation of the building.

According to the Moore County Sheriff's Office, the threat came at about 9:30 a.m.

Police put up barriers to block roadways around the courthouse and traffic was being rerouted while Moore County sheriff's deputies and Carthage police searched the building.
