A Henderson man didn't let an accident deter him from grabbing his lunch on Monday.

Daniel Orr said he got his double whopper with cheese in record time, even after he crashed his daughter's Chevrolet pickup truck into the Burger King restaurant on North Garnett Street in Henderson.

"I'd already stopped but leaning forward for gear shift, my foot slipped off brake and wedged over gas and brake," Orr said. "Putting it in park stopped it but was four to six inches too late."

No one was hurt, but a window panel was shattered. After a brief investigation that lasted only a couple of minutes, the building was deemed safe. The truck only had minor damage.

Orr said he had no regrets about going through with eating after what transpired, munching on his burger as cops looked over the wreckage.

"While waiting for the building inspector to say we could remove my daughter's truck, I went ahead and had my whopper," Orr said. "Most expensive whopper I've ever bought. Still delicious. And since no one was hurt, why dwell on something you can't change? Accept responsibility and move on."
