"We get our beans from Larry, he actually used to own this place and he is located in Raleigh," Boles said. The coffee beans at 42 & Lawrence are single source and organic, highlighting the shop's commitment to promoting sustainability. Landon emphasized that sustainability is a big part of their selling and advertising strategies, attracting a diverse group of people who share their values.

"It's a good way to meet people," Boles said. "Getting away from home, they wanna change the scenery, so they come to a coffee shop, and we like to be welcoming to that."

The cafe is open from 7am to 5:30pm on Sundays to Thursdays, and from 7am to 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
