42-foot boat named Turn Back crashes into Cape Hatteras beach

A 42-foot boat named Turn Back crashed on the beach Wednesday morning at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, one mile north of Oregon Inlet.

The boat came to shore around 7:30 a.m.

Three people were onboard, but no one was injured. It's not clear how the boat wound up on the shore.

The National Park Service is consulting with the U.S. Coast Guard and working with the owner to have the boat removed from the beach.
