Four people were hospitalized Monday after a newly built wall weighing nearly 1,000 pounds fell, according to the Wake Forest Fire Department.

Authorities said the four people appear to have non-life-threatening injuries after fire personnel responded to the call on Wexford Pond Way.

Wake County EMS said the four people were taken to WakeMed.

As of Monday afternoon, authorities hadn’t said what caused the wall to collapse.

A certified safety and health official is investigating the case.
