2023 WRAL Voters' Choice Awards finalists announced - Cast your vote now!

The highly anticipated WRAL Voters' Choice Awards, presented by NeighborHealth, has returned for another exciting year and the finalists have been officially announced across more than 140 diverse categories. Voting is now open for you to champion your favorite local businesses and individuals in the Triangle region. The voting period runs from October 18, 2023, to November 19, 2023. Here are some frequently asked questions about this annual celebration of excellence.

Each category includes five finalists based on nominations between Sept. 12 and Oct. 8. Votes can be cast once per category with no write-in votes. You can return to wral.com/vcas throughout the voting period to continue filling out your ballot.

WRAL diligently monitors the ballot daily to ensure fairness. In the event of suspected ballot stuffing, our team may contact business owners. Continuous violation of the one-vote rule may result in disqualification.

Are we missing a category?

Categories are reviewed each year, taking into account input from the community and the previous year's results. Some categories may be renamed, expanded or retired. The list of categories for the upcoming ballot is publicly disclosed in July. Once nominations open in September, no new categories can be added.

How do I promote that I’m a finalist?

Finalists typically utilize their social media platforms, email newsletters, websites and in-store displays to inform their patrons about their finalist status and encourage participation. Ask your supporters to visit wral.com/vcas or wral.com/contests to access the ballot.

When can I find out who wins?

Winners of the WRAL Voters' Choice Awards will be unveiled in January. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the end of the year.
