19-year-old arrested in connection with deadly shooting in Sanford
Saturday at 9:40 p.m., Sanford police responded to 800 Primrose Lane in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot on the front porch stairs. The victim, identified as Tyrese Marquel Wicker, 20, of Sanford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Saturday.
Saturday at 9:40 p.m., Sanford police responded to 800 Primrose Lane in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot on the front porch stairs. He had been shot multiple times. The victim, identified as Tyrese Marquel Wicker, 20, of Sanford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sunday at 2:30 a.m., 19-year-old Jackson Brown Chesney, of Sanford, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Wicker.
Chesney was placed in the Lee County Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
