A 17-year-old Leesville Road High School student was hit by a car Monday night while she was in the street taking part in a tradition, authorities said.

A 17-year-old Leesville Road High School student was hit by a car Monday night while she was in the street taking part in a tradition, authorities said.
Police said Marissa Nicole Foley was with friends at about 10:30 p.m. when she was hit near the intersection of Leesville Road and O'Neal Road. Police said she was part of a group painting the road as part of a tradition.
Foley was taken to WakeMed where she was listed in fair condition on Tuesday afternoon.
Additional information about her condition was not immediately available.
