Chicken brains are 111-year-old man's secret to a long life

Dexter Kruger is the oldest man to ever live in Australia.

The 111-year-old is now older than a World War I veteran was when he died in 2002.

Video shows Dexter doing group exercises and speaking clearly to reporters during an interview, when he revealed his big secret to a long life - eating chicken brains.

"Chicken brains," said Kruger. "You know, chickens have a head and in there, there's a brain and they are delicious little things. There's only one little bite."

Kruger tries to eat the meal once a week. The retired cattle rancher is in a wheelchair and lives in a care home. He turned 111 earlier in 2021.

A founder of the Australian book of records confirmed that Kruger is the oldest-ever Australian man.
