'Wonder Woman,' 'Star Wars,' 'Coco,' 'Cars 3:' Booth Amphitheatre lines up family-friendly fun for popular outdoor summer movie series

Booth Amphitheatre in Cary has released the schedule for its summer Movies by Moonlight series - and it is incredibly family friendly.

This outdoor movie series runs May to August with recent family favorites, including "Coco," "Wonder Woman," "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," and "A Wrinkle in Time," which is on the big screen now.

Tickets are just $5 and free for kids under 12. They are on sale now. You can bring blankets, chairs and a picnic with you as you settle in for a night under the stars.

Friday, May 25: Coco, rated PG

Friday, June 8: Wonder Woman, rated PG-13

Friday, June 15: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, rated PG-13

Friday, June 22: Despicable Me 3, rated PG

Friday, June 29: Paddington 2, rated PG

Friday, July 13: Star Wars: The Last Jedi, rated PG-13

Friday, July 20: Cars 3, rated G

Friday, Aug. 10: Beauty & the Beast: Sing-A-Long!, rated PG (This is the 2017 live action version of the Disney classic.)

Friday, Aug. 17: A Wrinkle in Time, rated PG

Gates for these movies open at 7 p.m. The movies start at dusk, which is around 8:30 p.m. Lawn games and concessions items are available before the movie starts.

A portion of the series' proceeds supports WakeMed Children's Hospital. Tickets and more information is on Booth Amphitheatre's website.
