Charlotte, N.C. — One year after participating in the Kirk Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge in Cincinnati, the Independence Patriots will leave North Carolina again to play top competition.
On Sept. 5, the Patriots will travel to Madison, Fla., a school about 45 miles east of Tallahassee, according to the Charlotte Observer.
The Independence Patriots ended their historical winning streak in Ohio last year.
In 2007, the Patriots lost three games, including the state championship game to New Bern.
