Football 2008: Green Hope
The Green Hope Falcons brought in Steve Katz as their head coach last season, and Katz says it was a learning experience. The 2008 season will mark four years since the Falcons went to the Eastern Regional Final, and Katz says this year they can be competitive. In 2007, Green Hope won just one game against Panther Creek, but showed improvement over the course of the season. Late in the season, the Falcons fell to rival Apex 10-9, and they also had a one-point loss to conference champion Athens Drive during the last week of the regular season.

Team Strengths: "Experienced players, especially at the LB, DL, & offensive skill positions. New players who have joined our program should have immediate impact. Improved strength and conditioning."
Team Weaknesses: "Team speed has improved, but still is a challenge for us. Experience on O-Line and at RB. How well these area can improve will determine our success."
2008 Outlook: "Successful spring and conditioning program has made us stronger and faster as a team. Experienced players should help us improve. We must play disciplined and cut down on turnovers. Last year was a learning experience, this season we feel we can compete."
