SELMA, N.C. — A single-car accident in Selma Saturday night has left a man critically injured.
According to a witness, the speeding Toyota 4-Runner "went up on two wheels" and came dangerously close to crashing "head-on" with her car before veering off the road, becoming airborne, and hitting a power pole.
Emergency responders had to extricate the severely pinned driver of the Toyota 4-Runner from the wreckage, and he was transported to Wake Med.
Authorities confirmed that the driver was not wearing a seat belt during the accident.
