Shots fired into occupied home in Raleigh neighborhood

The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating after shots were fired into a home and cars on Avery Street on Saturday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after shots were fired into a home and cars on Avery Street on Saturday.

Around 7:15 p.m., the Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3000 block of Avery Street for a report of shots fired into a home.

The occupied home and unoccupied cars were hit by gunfire.

There are no reports of injuries. Deputies found multiple shell castings on the road. Witnesses saw a car leaving the area.

This is an active investigation, and there is no suspect in custody at this time.
