A second earthquake was reported in Winston-Salem at 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

2.3 magnitude earthquake reported near Winston-Salem
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A second earthquake was reported in Winston-Salem at 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

WXII reports that residents felt their homes shaking from the 2.4 magnitude quake.

In that same area, residents felt another 2.3 magnitude earthquake on Sunday morning.

People living in the southwest area of Winston-Salem report feeling their homes shake Sunday morning, WXII News reports. The location was near Old Salisbury Road and the Parlawn Memorial Cemetary.

A few hours earlier on Sunday, USGS reported a 2.6 magnitude earthquake Sunday morning in Virginia.

According to the USGS, earthquakes are usually 2.5 magnitude or higher before they are felt.
