Sanford man fatally shot, another stabbed
A man was fatally shot and another stabbed early Saturday, Sanford police said.
Posted — UpdatedPolice responded to the M.T. Burch Center, at 1122 Boykin Ave., around 1 a.m. Saturday.
They found Derrick Dion Williams, 24, dead from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
Deerick Deshawn Williams, 22, suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Central Carolina Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Both men were from Sanford.
Police said officers are searching for two suspects on active warrants for murder and attempted murder.
Police have not determined the suspects' relationship to the victims.
In 2014, a police officer and two others were shot at the community center.
