RALEIGH, N.C. — PBS North Carolina will kick off the 2024 Rootle Roadster Tour on Saturday in Moore Square in downtown Raleigh.

This free block party will be held outside of Marbles Kids Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be interactive exhibits and PBS-themed activities in the Marbles courtyard and community booths across the street in Moore Square. All activities in the Marbles courtyard, along Hargett Street, and in Moore Square are free to the public.

“At the Rootle Roadster Tour, families can engage in playful learning with S.T.E.M, literacy, art and motor-skills activities and so much more,” says Jewel Lowe, Engagement Program Manager at PBS North Carolina. “We’re honored that Marbles, Moore Square and more than 20 local businesses and organizations will be on-site with us to create an unforgettable experience for families at our Raleigh block party.”

The IMAX theater at Marbles will present free screenings of the new PBS KIDS series "Lyla in the Loop."

There will also be food trucks on site for families to purchase items. This event does not include admission to the Marbles Kids Museum.
