RALEIGH, N.C. — A fire closed a portion of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Sunday night in Raleigh.

Authorities said the fire broke out at a duplex at 408 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., resulting in a closure of the road between Bloodworth and Garner streets as crews battled the flames.

At least two families lost their homes in the fire, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
