Raleigh apartment fire sends 3 children and 2 adults to hospital for smoke inhalation

A fire at an apartment complex on Streamside Rd. in Raleigh, sent five people to the hospital for smoke inhalation evaluation Saturday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A fire at an apartment complex on Streamside Rd. in Raleigh, sent five people to the hospital for smoke inhalation evaluation Saturday night.

At approximately 7:14 pm firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 3200 Streamside Rd.

Three children and two adults were transported to WakeMed for smoke inhalation evaluation.

Four cats were also affected by the fire and were taken to the local SPCA shelter for temporary care.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Raleigh Fire Department.
