A pursuit involving at least one stolen vehicle ended in multiple crashes on Thursday morning in Raleigh.

Around 4:27 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Valview Street. The owner was able to track the truck, and deputies located it on Paces Forest Court.

Around an hour later, while deputies were with the recovered truck, they noticed two cars approach and then leave at a high rate of speed. Deputies pursued both cars, a Volvo and a Ford Fusion.

The Volvo hit an uninvolved car at Millbrook and Six Forks Road in Raleigh, but kept driving away. A short time later, the driver of the Volvo lost control, flipped and crashed the car on Knollwood Road.

The Volvo driver was transported to the hospital, and deputies were able to determine it had been stolen.

Deputies were unable to stop the Ford Fusion.

This is an ongoing investigation, and charges are expected.
