Power restored after transformer blows at WakeMed in Raleigh
There was a temporary power outage 8:30 p.m Friday at WakeMed Health & Hospitals on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — There was a temporary power outage at WakeMed Health & Hospitals on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh around 8:30 p.m Friday.
A transformer blew, causing the smoke alarm to go off and a power outage.
A few patients were temporarily moved from their room as a precaution.
Officials at WakeMed do not expect any more issues related to the electrical issues.
