Police: Overturned car was empty when they found it crashed into power lines

Police say nobody was in or around an overturned car after it crashed into power lines near a Raleigh shopping center early Sunday morning.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police say nobody was in or around an overturned car after it crashed into power lines near a Raleigh shopping center early Sunday morning.

Crews were on the scene near New Bern Avenue and Trawick Road around 3:45 a.m.

The car was sitting on its roof in front of a shopping plaza with a group of firefighters nearby.

The crash downed some nearby power lines, but there were no reports of power outages as a result.
