A Greensboro father was arrested on Friday and charged with murdering his teenage son, according to police.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro father was arrested on Friday and charged with murdering his teenage son, according to police.

Police said they responded to a home in a residential area after a report that someone fell down and suffered traumatic injuries. Raymon Fernandez, 19, was found suffering from a severe head wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died a week later.

Officials told WXII News that Alexander Fernandez, 34, assaulted his son was charged with second-degree murder.

He was being held at the Guildford County Detention Center under a $505,000 bond.
