Plane crashes in Iredell County; pilot seriously injured
According to State Highway Patrol, a 2000 single-engine Cessna attempted to land at Lake Norman Airpark and struck several trees, crashing into the front yard of a home on the 100 block of Normandy Road.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A man was seriously injured in a plane crash on Sunday afternoon.
According to State Highway Patrol, a 2000 single-engine Cessna attempted to land around 12:20 p.m. at Lake Norman Airpark and struck several trees, crashing into the front yard of a home on the 100 block of Normandy Road.
The pilot, 62-year-old Peter Granow of South Carolina, was taken to a Charlotte hospital with serious injuries.
The FAA is investigating the crash.
