A person is dead after a car crash in Cumberland County involving a driver troopers say was impaired.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A person is dead after a car crash in Cumberland County involving a driver troopers say was impaired.

The crash happened just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Camden Road and Natal Street just outside Fayetteville.

State Highway Patrol says the driver of a yellow Dodge Charger hit a Kia, causing it to flip onto its roof.

Troopers say the driver of the Charger was impaired, and speed was also a factor.

WRAL News is waiting to learn what charges the driver may face.

According to Highway Patrol, the crash was the result of a chase that started in Harnett County and ended on North Bragg Boulevard and Mckenzie Road in Spring Lake.
