Person killed in crash involving impaired driver, troopers say

A person is dead after a car crash in Cumberland County involving a driver troopers say was impaired.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A person is dead after a car crash in Cumberland County involving a driver troopers say was impaired.

The crash happened just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Camden Road and Natal Street just outside Fayetteville.

State Highway Patrol says the driver of a yellow Dodge Charger hit a Kia, causing it to flip onto its roof.

The driver of the Kia was killed.

Troopers say the driver of the Charger was impaired, and speed was also a factor.
