Raleigh, N.C. — WRAL reporter Julia Lewis gave birth to a son Friday, adding to the Capitol Broadcasting Co. family.

William Sims, born 4:37a.m., weighs 8 pounds 2 ounces and is 20 inches long. William is Lewis' and her husband Mike's first child.

Baby, mom and dad are doing well.

Lewis has been with WRAL since 1993, having served in many different capacities, including video editor, assignment desk editor and reporter. She currently covers Durham.
