Wake Book Sale Under Way in Raleigh

If you need a good book for the holidays, you may be in luck.

RALEIGH, N.C. — If you need a good book for the holidays, you may be in luck.

The Wake County Book Sale is being held in the former Super Kmart, located at 4121 New Bern Avenue.

More than 500,000 books are available for purchase through Sunday. The few books remaining after the sale will be shredded for recycling.

All proceeds go to buy new books and materials for Wake County libraries.

Last year's sale raked in more than $170,000.
