Raleigh, N.C. — All county-owned buildings in Wake County will be smoke-free next year.
The Board of Commissioners on Monday passed an ordinance to ban smoking in all county buildings. Smokers have been allowed to light up in two rooms at the Wake County Courthouse.
Recent legislation allowed the county to ban smoking in those rooms. The ban will take effect in January.
