Crews Battle Apartment Fire in Fuquay-Varina
Crews were on the scene of an apartment fire in Fuquay-Varina Monday evening. No serious injuries were reported.
Posted — UpdatedFUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — Crews were on the scene of a fire at Ashewyck Manor Apartments in Fuquay-Varina Monday evening.
No serious injuries were reported. Witnesses said the fire started in the upper portion of the two-story complex.
The blaze moved quickly from left to right across the roof, which eventually collapsed, witnesses said. Many of the first floor apartments had water damage.
Crews from Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Fairview and Northwest Harnett County fire departments responded.
