The Occoneeche Council held its annual Eagle Scouts banquet at NC State's McKimmon Center.

They celebrated the awarding of 351 Eagle Scouts and two Venturing Summit Awards. Mentoring is a coed leadership program attached to the Boy Scouts of America.

"To me is a very big accomplishment," said Addie Reid. "There aren't many female Eagle Scouts, and so I just feel very proud of myself for persevering and just being able to reach this accomplishment. One of the highest accomplishments in scouting as a female just is very rewarding."
