An employee died Sunday when she became trapped inside a western North Carolina car wash, WYFF reports.

An employee died Sunday when she became trapped inside a western North Carolina car wash, WYFF reports.

Weaverville police and fire departments, along with Buncombe County EMS, responded to a ZIPS Car Wash on Gill Road at 6:36 p.m. Saturday.

Police said upon arrival, first responders located the victim, who had become entrapped in equipment inside the car wash.

According to police, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as Carolina Franks, 26, of Buncombe County.

The North Carolina Department of Labor OHSA division is investigating.
