Motorcyclist killed in Fayetteville wreck

A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck along Cliffdale Road at Beverly Drive in Fayetteville around 5:35 p.m. Friday, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck along Cliffdale Road at Beverly Drive in Fayetteville around 5:35 p.m. Friday, police said.

A driver of a Toyota Tundra truck, identified as 64-year-old Anthony Gale Cameron, of Fayetteville, was making a left turn onto Cliffdale Road from Beverly Drive, attempting to travel west on Cliffdale Road.

A motorcyclist traveling east on Cliffdale Road collided with the rear of the truck. Authorities identified the rider as 26-year-old Janzeen Mancio, of Hope Mills.

Mancio was thrown to the ground, and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Cameron was not injured.

Cliffdale Road was temporarily closed for the investigation.
