Motorcycle driver loses control, ejects into tree off Capital Blvd.

A 21-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash after losing control on a major road in Raleigh on Tuesday morning.

A 21-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash after losing control on a major road in Raleigh on Tuesday morning.

Around 6:50 a.m., Curtis Lee Mcduffie crashed on the 1600 block of Capital Blvd. while riding a 2022 Yamaha MT07 Motorcycle in the outbound lanes.

The preliminary investigation indicates Mcduffie was operating the motorcycle at a high rate of speed and lost control. He was ejected from the motorcycle and slid off the roadway into a tree.

He died as a result of his injuries.

This case remains under investigation.
