Missing 71-year-old woman was last seen in Fayetteville

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is searching for Barbie McPhail Pittman, 71, who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is searching for Barbie McPhail Pittman, 71, who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

The National Center for Missing Persons issued the endangered persons alert for Pittman, who is described as a Black woman who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 152 pounds.

Pittman has medium-length, white hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at 1540 S. Eastern Blvd. in Fayetteville wearing a brown coat, tan pants, a pink beanie hat and pink slippers.

Her direction of travel is unknown but she may be in a 2015 gray Ford Fusion with North Carolina license plate JHL-4122.
