FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Meet the first babies of 2024!

Twins Adonis Weathers and Adrian Weathers were born on Jan. 1 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Adonis was born at 1:39 a.m., weighing 6 lb. 2 oz. and measuring 18 ¾ inches long. Adrian was born at 1:49 a.m., weighing 6 lb. 2 oz. and measuring 20 ¾ inches long.

The twins are the sons of Adrona Weathers of Fayetteville. The twins’ grandparents are Ricky and Patricia Jones from Detroit, Michigan.

The first baby of 2024 to arrive at UNC Health Rex hospital in Raleigh was a baby boy.

Kalila and Bobby Joseph welcomed their firstborn, Kaliyo, at 3:05 a.m. He weighed 7 lb. 14 oz.

Everyone is happy and healthy, the hospital said.

Baby girl sets record as first baby born at WakeMed Cary Hospital in 2024

The Wall family welcomed baby girl Tully at 12:26 a.m., the first baby born at WakeMed Cary Hospital in 2024.

"Happy Birthday to Tully, and Happy New Year to all!" the hospital said.
