Massive crowds unite for Palestinian cause on international "Day of Action"
Massive crowds of people around the world are participating in a "Day Of Action" for Palestinian people.
Posted — UpdatedIn Raleigh, a sizable crowd recently participated in a rally and march.
Hundreds of people gathered in Moore Square, filling roughly half the space, before embarking on a short march that looped through downtown Raleigh for about a minute.
Several vehicles joined the procession as it made its way through the streets.
Police temporarily blocked traffic so people could safely walk.
These protesters continue to call for a ceasefire in Gaza so humanitarian aid can get through.
WRAL caught up with people who came in from out of town to participate in this rally, including one woman from DC.
She was asked about her reaction to the U.S. recently air-dropping humanitarian aid in Gaza.
In addition to protesting, activists are advocating for a nationwide movement called "No Preference."
They urge voters to choose "no preference" in the Democratic primary as a form of protest against President Biden.
Their criticism stems from his perceived lack of support for Palestinians during the current conflict.
