Update: Marbles, natural sciences museum to remain closed Monday

Got cabin fever? The roads are slick this morning, but a couple of popular downtown Raleigh destinations are opening back up for families who are ready to get out of the house.

Update: Both Marbles Kids Museum, its IMAX theater and the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences had planned on opening at noon, Monday. Both, however, have announced that they will remain closed Monday because of the ongoing winter weather ...

Got cabin fever? The roads are slick this morning, but a couple of popular downtown Raleigh destinations are opening back up for families who are ready to get out of the house.

Here's the deal ... (you'll notice a pattern ...):

Marbles Kids Museum will reopen at noon, Monday.

Marbles' IMAX theater has a bunch of family-friendly flicks planned today - Pandas 3D at noon, The Grinch at 1 p.m. and 5:05 p.m., and The Polar Express 3D at 3 p.m.

The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences will reopen at noon, Monday.

The Museum of Life and Science in Durham and Kidzu Children's Museum in Chapel Hill are both closed Monday because they normally are closed on Mondays. Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill is closed Monday because of the weather. And the North Carolina Zoo is closed through Tuesday.
