Man shot on Honeycutt Road in Wake County

At approximately 5:30 a.m., the sheriff's office was made aware that a man arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound. It was determined the shooting occurred in the 9800 block of Honeycutt Road.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting after a man was shot Sunday morning on Honeycutt Road in Wake County.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., the sheriff's office was made aware that a man arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound. It was determined the shooting occurred in the 9800 block of Honeycutt Road, and deputies were dispatched to the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation. Police said there are no suspects in custody at this time.

Honeycutt Road is closed at Durant Road due to the ongoing investigation.
