Man grazed by bullet in southeast Raleigh

A man was hospitalized Tuesday after a shooting near southeast Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was hospitalized Tuesday morning after a shooting near southeast Raleigh.

Around 2:30 a.m., deputies with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded to WakeMed, where a man grazed by a bullet was transported by a private vehicle.

The man had non-life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred in the 5000 block of Royal Acres Road.

Deputies believe the incident is isolated and said there is no known threat to the community.
