Man electrocuted at Coca-Cola distribution center in Clayton

Nathan Garrett Vanbeek was found dead at the Coca-Cola Distribution Center on Shotwell Road Thursday morning. Vanbeek was 34 years old.

CLAYTON, N.C. — A Selma man died from being electrocuted in Clayton on Thursday.

Nathan Garrett Vanbeek was found dead at the Coca-Cola Distribution Center on Shotwell Road Thursday morning.

An employee found Vanbeek's body in a fire suppression riser room in a warehouse around 11:15 a.m. Vanbeek was 34 years old.

Police said Vanbeek worked for Stoltz Management Company, who conducts property maintenance at the building.

Investigators believe Vanbeek was removing a heater fan from a wall inside the room and was electrocuted during the process.
