Man dies in fiery Wayne Co. crash
A man died in a crash in Wayne County overnight Friday after his vehicle hit and embankment and caught fire.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A man died in a crash in Wayne County overnight Friday.
The State Highway Patrol said a Honda Accord was traveling southeast on Dollard Town Road near Meadowlark Road and crossed the center line.
The vehicle hit an embankment and trees and caught fire.
Troopers said witnesses called for help when they saw the car in flames.
Authorities are investigating what led up to the crash.
The man’s identity has not been released.
