FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The man charged with killing a 26-year-old pregnant Fayetteville woman earlier this month was charged Tuesday in the death of her unborn child.
Markez Jaquan Mcgriff, 21, was arrested on Dec. 10 and charged with murder and attempted murder after authorities said he shot and killed Thalia Christina Thomas, who was pregnant, and wounded Inda Davis, 33, at a home at 2929 Spur Drive on Dec. 5.
Authorities said Thomas met Mcgriff on a dating website and let him in through a monitored, 24-hour access security gate moments before her death.

Mcgriff is now charged with murder of an unborn child in connection with the death of Thomas’ child.

Mcgriff remains at the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
