Ask Fifi
Move over Dear Abby, there's a new advice queen in town. Got issues? Ask Fifi. The Animal Kingdom will never be the same.

Fifi Investigates: Special Delivery

You know Miss Fifi loves to get mail, and I'm just as happy to get it through the US Postal Service as I am through electronic mail. But this week's Pet of the Week Photo winner is just the cutest thing ever.

Look at little Shelby, who was only a puppy when this photo was taken just over a year ago. She's a miniature beagle, and today full grown is not too much larger. Her human, Ryan Mauchmar, tells me that Shelby officially belongs to his aunt in Youngsville, but claims her all the same since they're all family.

I can appreciate that since Miss Fifi also likes to make the rules suit her, too. Woof!

"She's a cuddle bug," said Ryan. "She's a big kisser, and for our amusement will dance on her hind legs whenever she knows she's getting a treat." Shelby has a sister, Katie, and the two of them are inseparable.

So if you're hoping for a sweet little puppy like Shelby, maybe you should close your eyes and wish really hard before you open the mailbox this afternoon.
