ZEBULON, N.C. — The Highway Patrol responded to a crash Friday afternoon.

The crash involved a school bus from Corinth Holders Elementary School at North Carolina Highway 96 and Earpsboro Road in Johnston County, according to authorities.

Highway Patrol reports that 21 children were on the school bus involved in the accident.

Four students had minor injuries and were treated by EMS at the scene but not transported to the hospital.

Thadeusz Mieczysla Lukasiew, the driver of the car, was turning left onto NC 96 when they were cited for not yielding at a stop sign.

The Highway Patrol responded to a crash Friday afternoon.

The school bus that was traveling north on NC 96 sustained bumper damage in the crash.

Emergency and school officials are currently at the scene, assessing the situation.
