CHARLOTTE, N.C. — First Lady Jill Biden on Friday will travel to North Carolina, where she will speak about supporting cancer patients.

Friday afternoon, Biden will visit Atrium Health Levine Cancer in Charlotte to highlight the Biden Administration’s efforts to expand access to patient navigation services to Americans facing cancer and address the financial burden of cancer care.

The first lady is scheduled to land at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport by 2 p.m.

Later in the day she will travel to Nashville to attend a political event in Franklin, Tennessee.

The first lady's visit to North Carolina comes just three weeks after President Joe Biden spoke at Abbotts Creek Community Center on Durant Road in Raleigh and even stopped at Cook Out for lunch.
During his Jan. 18 visit, the president announced $82 million in new investment to expand internet broadband to an additional 16,000 North Carolina homes and businesses, moving closer to his goal of ensuring all Americans have reliable and affordable access by 2030.
In November's presidential election, voters will likely again see a contest between President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump on the ballot. A Meredith Poll from a survey conducted Jan. 26 through 31 shows Trump with a 44% to 39% lead over Biden among N.C. voters in the 2024 presidential election.

Voters who identified themselves as urban, liberal and highly educated tended to prefer Biden, while those in rural areas and with less education choose Trump.

Biden is running slightly behind Trump among unaffiliated voters in North Carolina, which could be key given that, as of September 2023, unaffliated voters made up more than a third of the state's voters.
