A jackknifed Amazon truck closed two lanes of I-40 eastbound in Cary, causing delays during the Thursday morning commute.

The crash was near the Cary Towne Boulevard interchange.

Drivers can access I-40 E from Cary Towne Boulevard to avoid the traffic.

There are some onlooker delays on I-40 westbound.

During the wet morning commute, there were multiple crashes causing delays and closures around the Triangle.

Crash involving 4 vehicles on Capital Blvd.

A crash involving 4 vehicles caused delays on southbound Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest.

Only one lane remained open.

At least one person was injured and taken to the hospital.

Crash involving 8 vehicles closes I-40 westbound

All westbound lanes of I-40 were closed near Hillsborough due to a crash on Thursday morning.

All lanes are closed between Old NC Highway 86 and I-85.

The crash involved 8 vehicles.

Other significant delays around the Triangle

Another crash near Glover Road was causing delays of up to 52 minutes on the south side of I-885 in Durham.

A separate crash on US-401 was also causing delays for drivers headed into Garner during their morning commute.

We're also tracking at least two crashes on the Durham Freeway causing delays near Ellis Road and a crash on US-70 near Miami Boulevard.
