A recent passenger in the exact Titan submersible that imploded on a trip to the Titanic is reacting to the tragedy.

It was pretty clear to me that something catastrophic had happened this from a man who knows firsthand what it's like to travel inside the Titan Submersible, that authorities say imploded during an ocean voyage to the Titanic. I've been in the Titans several times. In fact, Craig Curran was in the Titan less than one month ago heading out on a mission to see the Titanic along with two of the people who perished in the tragedy stocked in Rush and Paul Henri, I immediately changed my focus to taking solace in the fact that, um, they don't even know what happened when they on board. This happens so fast. Um, that I don't think they were even consciously aware that the, the, the sub had imploded. Um, they just were gone. Curran says that on his most recent trip, the team trained suited up and drilled, but the dive was called off due to weather. What is it like inside the Titan is cramped but it's reasonably comfortable. Um There is a padded floor kind of a rubber, rubber pad and it can accommodate five. You sit on the floor, imagine it's a cylinder on the floor as you know, about a quarter of the way up. It's comfortable to lean up against the carbon fiber pressure vessel. Some of these pictures and videos captured inside the Titan during a recent Titanic journey by Curran's colleague, Aaron Newman. It's a long descent, 2.5 hours and totally dark, completely dark for the descent. Um until you turn on the external lights of the sub. When uh when you get to the the bottom, did you feel safe when you were inside? I did, I did and a lot of people have asked me, um, they made the assumption, oh, I wouldn't do it again, going forward. Um uh I'm, I have not made a decision on that. I don't know what actually happened. I don't know what the nature of the failure was, but right now, um I would go again. I would go again. I'm not, I'm not frightened of that. Curran believes ultimately the Titan and its team will move the ball forward in the world of exploration. I don't know how this chapter in this accident are going to manifest in moving us forward, but I am absolutely thoroughly confident that it will and that it was worth pursuing. Um I think I can speak for Ph and Stockton that it was worth it to them and I feel good having been a part of it.

BB&T was founded in Wilson nearly 150 years ago. On Saturday, the town plans to dynamite some of the bank's former administrative offices.

The former BB and T Administrative building is being demolished to make room for new growth. If you live or work in that area, prepare for roads to be closed around the site on Nash Street north in downtown Wilson until at least the afternoon. WRL Senderos Kiva found out what else you can expect. We're counting down the hours until this seven story building in downtown Willison is imploded tomorrow morning. It's a huge undertaking. People will feel it and hear it possibly miles away. But the city has planned this for a year, and we're told a lot of safety precautions are in place. Wilson has never had an implosion downtown before. James Campbell is on the team planning tomorrow's implosion of the former BB and T Administrative building. If you live nearby, you may want to get some hearing protection and prepare for some dust. They did a test blast on Monday, and you could. People from Faras Ways Airport Boulevard, which is about five miles away from here, could hear that blast. Campbell's team will closely watch gas and water lines. Everyone living within 1000 ft will be temporarily evacuated. They have Option Thio. Either they could go to somebody else's place or D. H. Griffin has an area that they could be in during that time frame. The towers forming the building were constructed in 1971 and 1985. Ah, full service Y M C A. Apartments and a parking deck will eventually replace it. After the implosion, BB and T already finished a new administrative building just across the street. You know, not only is this an implosion of of an old building that had sort of outlived its usefulness, but it's also a wonderful story about the beginning of a new chapter.
