Husband charged in shooting death of 65-year-old wife

Around 9:45 p.m., deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Barrier Place, where a caller reported a woman had been shot. Margaret Parker, who lived in the home, dies of her injuries, according to officials.

Terry Russell Parker, 61, the victim's husband, was charged with an open count of murder. He was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center under no bond.
