House fire breaks out Tuesday in Apex; four people impacted

APEX, N.C. — Four people are without a home Tuesday night after a fire in Wake County.

According to Wake County Fire Service, the fire happened around 8 p.m. at a home on Hill Hollow Way in Apex.

The fire was under control in 20 minutes.

Authorities said the fire started in the garage and spread to the attic, but the specific cause is unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
